Levels & Progressions

  • This level is designed to help swimmers become comfortable in the water. Here the swimmers practice activities such as blowing bubbles, getting their ears wet, and putting their faces in the water.

  • This level is designed to help discover the joys of buoyancy. Here the swimmers practice front and back floats.

  • The level is designed to learn the skills to swim using their arms, legs, and breath exchange with a side breath.

  • This level is designed to learn the skills it takes to master Freestyle. Freestyle is a pivotal stroke for swim team. This level helps refine the skills learned in “Swordfish”.

  • This level is designed to learn the skills it takes to master Backstroke. Backstroke is a pivotal stroke for swim team. Here the swimmers will learn specific drills to be competitive while swimming backstroke.

  • This level is designed to learn the skills it takes to master Butterfly. Butterfly is a pivotal stroke for swim team. Here the swimmers will learn specific drills to be competitive while swimming Butterfly.

  • This level is designed to learn the skills it takes to master Breaststroke. Breaststroke is a pivotal stroke for swim team. Here the swimmers will learn specific drills to be competitive while swimming Breaststroke.

  • 25 meters of efficient and effective Butterfly. 50 meters of efficient and effective Backstroke. 50 meters of efficient and effective Breaststroke. 50 meters of efficient and effective freestyle. An efficient and effective flip turn.

Mini-Mantas

Our Mini-Mantas program is a parent/guardian involved class. In this joyous experience the families enter a fully play-based environment. Some aspects of the class include singing unique songs, having the children practice back floating, going underwater, and learning how to swim to safety. The class ratio is 4:1 meaning there are 4 guardians with 4 children and 1 instructor. The Mini-Mantas have a unique set of skills and various levels that they are working towards simultaneously to become water safe.

    1. Comfortable going side-to-side with help or independently.

    2. Comfortable back floating while being held with 2 hands. 

    3. Comfortable back floating while being held with 1 hand.

    4. Comfortable back floating independently. 

    5. Comfortable rolling to their back float from a front float.

    1. Effective kicking while being held and assisted.

    2. Effective kicking while being held but not assisted.

    3. Effective kicking independently for more than 3 seconds.

    4. Kick effectively and get a breath with assistance.

    5. Kick effectively and get more than 1 breath independently. 

    1. Hold the wall for more than 3 seconds independently.

    2. Reach, grab onto the wall, and climb out of the pool without assistance.

    3. Turn around and grab the wall and climb out of the pool independently. 

    4.  Jump into the pool, return to safety, and climb out of the pool independently.

    5. Jump into the pool, tread water for more than 5 seconds, return to safety, and climb out of the pool independently. 

Modified Mantas

Our Modified Mantas program revolves around teaching children and adults with special needs. Swimming is a wonderful therapeutic tool and has been proven to improve motor skills and coordination while also being a life saving skill. In this program there are a variety of class sizes based on our swimmers’ progress and individual needs. Each class is one of a kind to help our swimmers reach their personal best.
